DeKalb County Courthouse photo gallery

The grand Courtroom 300 has not aged a bit since 1904.
A chandelier in Courtroom 100.
No one is 100 percent sure of the significance of the four gold-covered rams in the 2nd floor lobby. Elder courthouse visitors claim that they represent agriculture.
Courtroom 200 is a smaller version of Courtroom 300.
Much of the courthouse furniture is original and still being used - including this courtroom credenza and hutch.
This sign is posted each Friday for drug court in Judge Robbin Stuckert's Room 204.
One of 3 original wall safes in the courthouse.
A celebration outside the courthouse following the end of World War I - notice the flags flying in each window.
Three flags from the celebration still fly in the Circuit Clerk's office.
The ornate 2nd floor lobby with marble floors and four rams covered in 14K gold flanking each staircase.
The Civil War monument towers in front of the courthouse.
The DeKalb County Courthouse was built in 1904 at 133 W. State in Sycamore.
You have to look closely to notice the now-stigmatized shape in the bannister throughout the courthouse.
When the courthouse was built in 1904, this was a Native American symbol for peace.
