Law Merit Badge Day 2013 at Daley Center

Nearly 30 Boy Scouts from 17 different troops of the Chicago Area Council earned their “Law” merit badge upon completing a day-long clinic offered by NESA CHICAGO in a courtroom of the Richard J. Daley Center on October 5, 2013. The panel was comprised of judges and attorneys from various backgrounds around the city, each of which are Eagle Scouts, including Judge Joseph D. Panarese (Associate Judge, 1st Municipal District Circuit Court of Cook County) and attorneys Howard L. Huntington (of Mahoney, Silverman & Cross, LLC), Lawrence Chesler (retired Sr. Vice-President of NAVTEQ Corporation), Benjamin M. Whipple (Director of Governmental Affairs at Boyd Gaming), Jonathan R. Sick (of McAndrews Held & Malloy), and Todd R. Plotner (of Chapman and Cutler LLP). An extra special addition to this year’s faculty was the Honorable E. Kenneth Wright, Jr., Presiding Judge of the First Municipal District of Cook County (the only non-Eagle Scout).
