Attorneys Annette K. Corrigan and James F. Zanayed recently joined the Andrew Cores Family Law Group, a division of Esp Kreuzer Cores LLP. Both are working as associate attorneys out of the firm’s Wheaton office and focus on family law.
Attorney Annette Corrigan received her juris doctor from Marquette University. After practicing in the Kansas City area, she began practicing law in Illinois in 1991 at a law firm in Naperville, where Corrigan was part of establishing the firm’s first litigation team.

The ISBA Young Lawyers Division hosted a yoga and brunch event on Saturday, April 7 at the Chicago Regional Office. The hour-long yoga session was taught by a retired attorney-turned-yoga-instructor, who provided valuable tips and tricks for using exercise as a way to combat stress, depression, and anxiety. After yoga, young lawyers enjoyed brunch and mimosas.
The U.S. Attorney's Office Northern District of Illinois is accepting applications for an assistant United States attorney opening in its Civil Division, primarily to handle bankruptcy and commercial lien cases and matters.
Applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be an active member of the bar (any jurisdiction), and have at least two years post-J.D. experience in bankruptcy practice. U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred qualifications: Excellent academics, significant litigation experience, bankruptcy law experience, strong legal writing skills, and commitment to public service.
The ISBA Tort Law Section Council presented a webinar, Hot Topics in Trial:Jury Selection and Jury Questions, on Wednesday, April 4. Jurors ultimately decide the fate of a case, which makes jury selection one of the most important parts of a jury trial. Judge Robert E. Ginsberg, age 73, died March 17, 2018. Judge Ginsberg was a retired United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Illinois, where he served for 18 years. Previously, he was a professor at DePaul University Washington College of Law. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gail Ginsberg, his loving daughters, Deborah and Dana Ginsberg, grandchildren, David Ginsberg and Aurora Buntain, sister, Marion Levine, brothers-in-law, Bruce Cohen and Irwin Muskat, and many nieces and nephews, cousins, close friends and former colleagues.
