In response to the COVID-19 public health crisis, the ISBA has created a community devoted to the pandemic on ISBA Central.
ISBA Central allows members to connect with their colleagues via our online community platform. Attorneys can pose questions, share information, and seek out lawyers for case referrals.
The COVID-19 community is open to all ISBA members and is designed to help attorneys share information with their colleagues throughout Illinois.

The health and safety of our members and staff is of the utmost importance to the ISBA. While developments related to COVID-19 continue to unfold, the ISBA is closely monitoring a variety of public health sources. In light of Friday's Executive Order, the ISBA's offices will be closed through April 7, but staff will continue to telecommute and member services will remain uninterrupted. We will not be having any in-person events, in-person CLE, or in-person business meetings through April 30.

Many firms have implemented work-from-home policies that encourage professionals to practice social distancing in an effort to quell the spread of the disease. Connecting with other attorneys and legal professionals is essential to staying up-to-speed with the latest legal updates, as well as judicial announcements and orders.
The Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) has created an informational page about the impact of COVID-19 on ISBA meetings, events, and programs.
While developments related to COVID-19 continue to unfold, the ISBA is monitoring a variety of sources, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, Illinois Department of Public Health, and Cook County Department for Public Health, for the latest updates.
The ISBA hosted the third session of the 2020 Leadership Academy on Feb. 21 in the Chicago Regional Office. The session focused on diversity and inclusion within the profession and ended with a Chicago Blackhawks game at the United Center.
All candidates for Illinois judicial office who are running in the March 17 primary election have been rated by the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Judicial Evaluations Committee, or in a poll of lawyers conducted by the ISBA. The results were made available Feb. 21 on ISBA's Judicial Evaluations page.

The ISBA's Leadership Academy met Jan. 24-25 in the Chicago Regional Office. The session featured panel discussions about continuing professional development.

The deadline to submit nominating petitions for the ISBA election is Friday, Jan. 31, at 4:30 p.m. at either the Illinois Bar Center, 424 S. 2nd St., Springfield, or the Chicago Regional Office at 20 S. Clark St., Suite 900, Chicago.
Members of the ISBA will elect a third vice president, two Board of Governors seats in Cook County, and 21 seats for Cook County Assembly.
One board seat is open in each of the following Areas: Area 3 (Circuits 12, 13, 16, 21, and 23), Area 4 (Circuits 10, 14 and 15), Under Age 37 – Cook County, and Under Age 37 Outside Cook County (Circuits 1-23).
