Stacia Faye Hollinshead, 30, of Sycamore, died Saturday, March 23, 2019, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
Stacia was born Aug. 20, 1988, in Effingham, the daughter of John and Ann (Webster) Hollinshead. Stacia was the fourth child of five born into the Hollinshead family. She grew up with three sisters and one brother in rural Dieterich. From an early age Stacia was a tenacious, passionate, and ambitious person.
Lawrence Anthony Smith Jr., 82, of Champaign, died March 31, 2019.
He was the cherished husband of Pastor Donna (Hacker) Smith for 31 years. He is survived by her, as well as his children, Lawrence III (Jackie) of Spokane, Washington, Amy Smith of Pardeeville, Wisconsin, Ann (William) Petersen of Crossville, Tennessee, Andrew (Lisa) Smith of Winnebago, Sean (Laurel) Smith of Priest Lake, Idaho, Alicia (Kent) Downs of Edwardsville, and Margaret (Chris) Bausman of Winnebago. He is fondly remembered by his nieces, Cindy (Ted) Neumann and Jenny Hacker. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews and many dear friends and colleagues.

The 2019 ISBA High School Mock Trial Invitational took place on March 9-10 at the University of Illinois Springfield. First place went to York Community High School from Elmhurst.
Second place went to Glenbard East High School from Lombard, and Evanston Township High School received third place.
Lamont Lee Perington, 77, of Maple Park, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at Season’s Hospice in Naperville.
He was born Feb. 9, 1942, in Waukegan, the son of Philip and Marguerite Perington. Lee is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara (Rossman); daughter, Joy (Michael) Miletic of North Aurora; grandchildren, Amanda and Noah Miletic; sister, Lorraine McDowell of Winthrop Harbor; sister-in-law, Mildred Perington of Johnstown, Iowa; and many dear nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Neil, and his son Jeffrey.
Land of Lincoln Legal Aid, a non-profit organization that provides free legal services to low-income individuals in central and southern Illinois, is seeking a staff attorney at the Northern Regional Office in Springfield.
The position includes representing victims of domestic violence in a variety of matters, including but not limited to orders of protection, civil no stalking orders, and divorces. The position also includes representation of low-income persons in routine and complex housing and consumer litigation and expungement cases, as well as participation in community legal education and outreach.
Paul Bown, 69, of Springfield, died Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Memorial Medical Center.
Paul was born on April 27, 1949, in Winchester, the son of Hubert Bown and Joan Perry. He married Susan Wolters on February 17, 1979, in Springfield.

White earned his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law. Prior to joining Cordell & Cordell, he practiced domestic relations, criminal defense, and personal injury.
Dylan McCaughey Hartigan, 38, of Newton, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois.
He was born on Sept. 20, 1980, in Effingham, the son of Daniel E. and Renee (McCaughey) Hartigan.
Craig L. Kavensky, 61, of Rock Island, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Craig was born on Sept. 12, 1957, to Louise (Rosengard) and Harrison Kavensky. After graduating from Rock Island High School, he received a bachelor’s degree from University of Illinois, and his Juris Doctor from Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1982 and joined his father as an attorney at one of the Quad-Cities' oldest law firms, now known as Winstein, Kavensky and Cunningham LLC.
