It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Joseph Woods following a lengthy illness.
He was born on January 20, 1941 in Chicago, IL to Mary and Patrick Woods, Irish immigrants.
Beloved husband of Elissa nee Rolnick.
Loving father of Adina Herman, Elana Dor and Dr. Adam (Dr. Joyce Ho) Rubinstein. Proud grandfather of Sarah, Samuel, Nathan, Shani, Noam, Max and Lior. Dear brother of Dr. Rita (Ben) King and Cynthia Rubinstein and brother-in-law of B. Reina (the late Dr. Milton) Alter.
Charles D. "Chuck" Mockbee III, age 74, passed away on February 23, 2021.
Chuck was born on February 6, 1947. He grew up in the Jamesburg and Henning Illinois area, graduating from the Bismarck-Henning High School. Chuck attended Northern Illinois University and then received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the John Marshall Law School, becoming a member of the Illinois Bar in 1975.
Anne Marie Konopack passed away on February 20, 2021 in Chicago, IL. Formerly of New Lenox, IL. Late of Chicago.
Bruce Burrell Marr, 66, of Chicago, IL, died February 22, 2021 of complications from an illness. He was born on March 15, 1954, in Rochester, NY, the son of the late Rev. Robert Burrell Marr and Barbara Putnam Marr of Suffolk, VA. He spent his childhood years in Conneaut, OH, and Suffolk, VA, graduating in 1972 from Suffolk High School where he played on the high school tennis team and in the school band.
John Loyle Davis, 78, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.
Stephanie Michelle (Wagner) Galetti, joined her dad in heaven on February 12, 2021, after a 3-year battle with cancer. She is survived by her mother Gail Straith Wagner (Sun City, AZ); her brothers Russ Wagner (San Antonio, TX); Joe Wagner (Centralia, IL); Jon Wagner (Marion, IL); her Aunt Karen and Uncle Jay Schmitt (Centralia, IL); Uncle Bill and Aunt Leslie Straith (Centralia, IL); many nephews and nieces, and her two young sons Chance & Rhys.
John “Jack” T. McGarry, age 81, of Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2021.
Judge Francis A. Gembala, age 73, passed away January 29.
Beloved husband, dedicated father and grandfather, Roger died February 16, 2021. Born in Rockford, IL, he attended DePauw University and the University of Chicago Law School. Roger spent over fifty years making Chicago, Hyde Park and his Deerwood community better places.
