Allen Howard Meyer, age 94, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2020 in Chicago.
Attorney Lisa M. Nyuli of Ariano, Hardy, Ritt, Nyuli, Richmond, Lytle & Goettel, P.C. (AHR) in South Elgin was installed as president of the Illinois Bar Foundation Board of Directors.
A partner at AHR since 2000, Lisa focuses her practice primarily in family law. Prior to joining AHR, she worked as an attorney in Aurora and Geneva for 10 years. In 2008, she became a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and currently serves on its board. She is active in the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) as a member of various committees and sections and has served on the Board of Governors.

Joseph Marcus Weil, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Highland Park, IL, at the age of 102 on June 24, 2020.
Terrence J, "Terry" Anastas, of Quincy, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 25 while on vacation with family in Virginia. Terry was born October 25, 1958 in Quincy, the fifth of seven children born to Mary Elizabeth Bailey Anastas and the late Frederick William Anastas. He spent the first few years of his life on a farm - with no running water - near Woodland, Missouri. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Quincy, where Terry attended St. Francis Grade School. Afterwards, he attended Quincy Junior and Senior High Schools, where he played football and wrestled. He graduated in 1976.

Pat was the oldest of the six children of Patrick and Nancy (Bracken) Hughes. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Mickey, Frank, Bill, and sister Kathleen, and his beloved cats.

Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C., has announced the creation of a new scholarship fund with Washington University in St. Louis School of Law to support diverse law students, in recognition of the first anniversary of the passing of former Greensfelder President and CEO Tim Thornton.
The Greensfelder Diversity Scholarship in Memory of Timothy R. Thornton will be awarded beginning in fall 2020. Each year, a student at Washington University in St. Louis School of Law who has demonstrated a commitment to diversity will be selected as the recipient. After awarding the initial $10,000 scholarship this fall, Greensfelder will fund an endowment to allow for the continuation of the scholarship annually in alignment with the firm’s commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession and creating opportunities for individuals in the firm’s communities.
Jon G. Carlson, 76, of Maryville, Illinois, passed away at 10:43 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at his home.
He was born June 25, 1943, in Wakefield, Michigan, a son of the late John E. “Jack” and Irene A. (Ericson) Carlson. He grew up with two brothers, Curt and Peter Carlson.
