    ISBA leaders attend ABA House of Delegates
    ISBA leaders attended the recent ABA House of Delegates meeting held in Chicago. President Umberto S. Davi, President-elect Vincent F. Cornelius, 2nd Vice President Russell W. Hartigan and Immediate Past President Richard D. Felice attended as part of the Illinois delegation headed by Past President Paula H. Holderman. Past Presidents John E. Thies and Joseph G. Bisceglia were also in attendance.

    Kyrgyzstan Delegation 2015
    ISBA President Umberto S. Davi met with a delegation of attorneys from the former Soviet Republic of Kyrgyzstan. The lawyers are part of the a newly formed association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and are visiting the U.S. as part of the ABA's Rule of Law Initiative.

    The Peoria County Bar Association installed Timothy J. Howard as its new president during its Annual Meeting and Pillars of the Bar event on July 13 at the Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette. ISBA President Umberto S. Davi and 3rd Vice President James F. McCluskey were on hand for the event.

    Annual Meeting 2015 Assembly Meeting
    The ISBA Assembly met on Saturday, June 20, at the 139th Annual Meeting. The Assembly heard an informational report from Paula Littlewood, Executive Director of the Washington State Bar Association and Steve Crossland, Chair of the Washington Supreme Court LLLT Board on the new Limited License Legal Technician Program in that state.

    The Illinois State Bar Association International and Immigration Law Section and President-elect Umberto S. Davi hosted a delegation from the Law Society of Hong Kong on Thursday, June 11 at the Chicago Office. The delegation held a seminar titled "The Asian Century: A Borderless Trade and Investment Environment in Hong Kong."
