Legislation
The Section Council reviewed 37 bills that may affect their members’ practice area. Highlights of the most recent legislative session include:
- Senate Bill 2690 provides that each public institution of higher education shall pay on behalf of a refugee or reimburse a refugee for payment of any transcript evaluation fees that are required by the public institution of higher education to be paid during the admission process.
- House Bill 5071 creates the Work Without Fear Act.
